About the business
At Share the Dignity, we believe that
access to sanitary items should be a RIGHT, not a privilege.
Rochelle Courtenay Founder of Charity Share the Dignity and current Humanitarian of the year. Rochelle saw a problem in Australia and went about to set up a charity like a business with great Corporate Partners and great Leadership. Since starting, Share the Dignity the Charity has collected more 750,000 pads and tampons and they have installed 30 Dignity Vending Machines around Australia. These vending machines (which we refer to as ‘Pink Boxes’) dispense a free period pack when triggered and are installed in schools, drop-in spaces and other areas where they are needed. This wouldn’t have been possible without corporate sponsors, public donations and over 6 million dollars of in kind donations in the form of time and services provided by volunteers, to help make the world a better place for women & children.
