About Marnie

With a background in marketing and events, Marnie started Elk in partnership with her husband and business partner Adam Koniaras in 2004. Adam, a qualified jeweller and gemologist, was running his own small fine jewellery business and together they started to produce affordable, Scandinavian inspired designs to encourage Adams loyal customers to come back more regularly. Overwhelmed with the response to their designs, Marnie identified a gap in the market and Elk was borne. Today, Marnie is the creative director and head designer of a multi-faceted business that includes fashion jewellery, apparel and fine leather goods for men and women.

Today, Elk’s signature style is sold by more than 1200 stockists around the globe and the multi-million dollar business employs more than 45 people here and abroad.
