ABOUT VICKIE : Vickie is passionate about helping people build sustainable enterprises. She is a business facilitator, trainer, coach, writer and mentor providing inspiration and support to a range of businesses and social enterprises across Australia.
As a professional facilitator, Vickie draws on a number of facilitation techniques honed over her many years of experience. Her style allows groups the freedom to think broadly and creativity while focussing the discussion to ensure objectives are met.
She currently runs her own facilitation consultancy as well as leading Bizness Babes as the General Motivator (GM). Bizness Babes is a not for profit program, supported by The Wise Foundation, providing small business development training to women who are not able to access mainstream education.
As a facilitator she has worked with a broad range of audiences including senior corporate executives, government officials, indigenous people, youth and community. She is a competent trainer across a variety of topic areas including business development, communication, and risk management.
Vickie is the author of The Bizness Book, a guide for creating a business that fits with your life (not the other way around). She also co-wrote the Social Enterprise Guide for Young Australians. She has extensive experience working with small businesses and social enterprises across Australia.
Vickie is a joint founder of EMPOWA Community a group set up in the honour of the late Anita Roddick to inspire activism in others. She is Director of From The Ground Up, a company set up to progress the work of sustainable community projects across the world. PlaygoundIDEAS is currently the focus of the company bringing the joy of play to impoverished children.
She gives pro bono time to a number of not for profits and profit for purpose organisations. She has been a Board Member of the Monash Gallery or Art, on the advisory committee of the Monash Unversity PR Panel, and the Management Committee of Young Women’s Housing Shopfront.
She grew up in country NSW and has a household in the suburbs of Melbourne with a fabulous husband, two funny kids, a naughty dog, chooks, a rabbit, fish and a couple of stick insects.
